Your Consultation
During your consultation, we evaluate brow position and symmetry, forehead wrinkles, and skin laxity, and discuss your goals and medical history, including any prior cosmetic treatment such as Botox or fillers. A brow lift and upper eyelid surgery are sometimes confused for each other, so both are considered together to determine the right correction.
Recovery
- First few days. Swelling, tightness, and some bruising around the forehead and eyes. Keeping your head elevated helps reduce swelling.
- About one week. Swelling and bruising peak, then improve. Stitches are typically removed.
- Two to three weeks. Most people feel comfortable returning to work and social activities.
- Four to six weeks. Most swelling is gone and brow position looks natural. More intense activity can usually resume.
- First few days Swelling, tightness, and some bruising around the forehead and eyes. Mild discomfort or headaches are common, but typically manageable with prescribed medication. Keeping your head elevated—even while sleeping—helps reduce swelling.
- About one week Swelling and bruising peak in the first few days, then gradually improve. Stitches are removed. You might notice numbness or tingling along the scalp—this is normal and temporary.
- Two to three weeks You start looking more like yourself again. Bruising fades, and swelling decreases significantly. Most people feel comfortable returning to work and social activities around this time. Light exercise may be resumed if the surgeon clears it.
- Four to six weeks Most swelling is gone, and the brow position looks more natural. You can usually return to more intense physical activity. Incisions continue to heal and fade.
